# Available In State column (Drivers/Assets table)

> What the Available In State column in Dispatch Planner v2 shows and how to filter drivers by the state or province where they become free.

Part of the [Dispatch Planner column reference](/en/help/loads-trips/dispatch-planner-columns).

The **Available In State** column shows the state or province code from the **Available in** column, such as TX. Use it to filter drivers by the states where they will become free, without setting up a map radius.

## At a glance

| | |
| - | - |
| **Table** | Drivers/Assets |
| **Shown by default** | Yes |
| **Sort** | Yes, alphabetically by state code |
| **Filter** | Pick one or more states. The list covers US states, Canadian provinces, and Mexican states. |
| **Who sees it** | Everyone who can open Dispatch Planner v2 |
| **Edit in the grid** | No |

## Where does the state come from?

The state is the one in **Available in**: the place where the driver's last trip or driver event ends before their free time starts. It changes whenever **Available in** changes. To learn how that location is chosen, see the [Available in column](/en/help/loads-trips/dispatch-planner-columns/drivers/available-in).

## Why is the column blank?

**Available in is blank.** The column shows a dash whenever **Available in** does, for example when the driver has no trips and no driver events on record, or belongs to an outside carrier. Drivers with a dash do not match any state in the filter.
