# Contractor Type column (Drivers/Assets table)

> What the Contractor Type column in Dispatch Planner v2 shows, which values it can hold, and where a driver's contractor type is set.

The **Contractor Type** column shows how each driver is engaged: as a company driver, a contractor, or an owner operator. Use it to plan around company drivers and contracted drivers separately without opening each driver's profile.

## Where does the contractor type come from?

The value comes from the **Contractor Type** field on Driver 1's profile in **Assets > Drivers**. It is one of **Company Driver**, **Contractor**, or **Owner Operator**. If Driver 1 has no contractor type, the column shows a dash.

For a two-driver team, Driver 2's contractor type is not shown, and filtering checks Driver 1 only.

Sorting is alphabetical by contractor type. Drivers with no contractor type sort last.
