# Carrier Line Haul column (Trips table)

> What the Carrier Line Haul column in Dispatch Planner v2 shows, who can see it, and why it can be lower than what the carrier is paid in total.

The **Carrier Line Haul** column shows the line haul agreed with the carrier on each trip. It is the line haul only: accessorials owed to the carrier are not included. Use it to compare carrier costs across trips without opening each load.

## What does the amount include?

Only the carrier line haul. Accessorials the carrier is owed, such as detention or lumper, are not part of it, so the total the carrier is paid can be higher than this column.

Other boards in Alvys, such as the Trip Board, label the same amount **Carrier Rate**.

## Why can't I find the column?

If you have neither the **View Carrier Rate** permission nor the **Billing** permission, and your role is not Admin, Partner Admin, Office Admin, or Biller, the column is not offered in the column configuration menu and does not appear in the grid. You cannot sort or filter by it either. Ask an admin to grant **View Carrier Rate**, which sits in the **Rates** category of your user permissions. ## Why is the column blank?

**No carrier is assigned to the trip.** A trip without a carrier has no carrier line haul, so the cell shows a dash. Removing the carrier from a trip clears the amount.
