# Dispatched Date column (Trips table)

> What the Dispatched Date column in Dispatch Planner v2 records, which changes reset it, and why a dispatched trip can still show a dash.

Part of the [Dispatch Planner column reference](/en/help/loads-trips/dispatch-planner-columns).

The **Dispatched Date** column shows the date and time a carrier was assigned to each trip, so you can see how long ago that happened without opening the trip. The time is shown in your own local time zone on a 24-hour clock, for example 04/08/2026 @ 14:30 CDT.

## At a glance

| **Who sees it** | Everyone who can open Dispatch Planner v2 |
| **Edit in the grid** | No |

## What date does the column record?

The column records when the trip's carrier was assigned. It is not the time the trip's status changed to **Dispatched**.

* If you swap or unassign the driver, truck, or trailer and the carrier stays on the trip, the date does not change.
* If a different carrier is assigned, the date changes to the time of that assignment.
* If the carrier is removed from the trip, the date is cleared and the column shows a dash.

## Why does a trip show a dash?

**No carrier assignment date is recorded for the trip.** This happens, for example, when no carrier is assigned. Read a dash as "no assignment date recorded", not as "not dispatched".
