# Load Planner column (Trips table)

> What the Load Planner column in Dispatch Planner v2 shows, why every trip on a load shows the same name, and how to find trips with no load planner.

Part of the [Dispatch Planner column reference](/en/help/loads-trips/dispatch-planner-columns).

The **Load Planner** column shows the person responsible for planning each trip's load. Use it to see who planned a load without opening it, or to find unplanned work.

## At a glance

| | |
| - | - |
| **Table** | Trips |
| **Shown by default** | No. Add it from the Trips table column configuration menu. |
| **Sort** | Yes |
| **Filter** | Type text, or pick users from a list. The list includes **No Load Planner** for trips whose load has none. |
| **Who sees it** | Everyone who can open Dispatch Planner v2 |
| **Edit in the grid** | No. Set it on the load. |

## Where does the name come from?

Load Planner is a load-level role, set on the Load Details page. Every trip on the same load shows the same load planner, and changing it on the load updates all of them. See [How to Add Roles to Loads and Trips](/en/help/loads-trips/how-to-add-roles-to-loads-and-trips).

Load Planner is separate from the trip's dispatcher, which is shown in **Dispatched On Behalf Of**.

## Why does a trip show a dash?

**The load has no load planner assigned.** To list only that work, filter the column and pick **No Load Planner**.
