Previous Location no longer picks the truck's next load, so empty miles are measured from where the truck has been, not where it is going.
Previous Location no longer picks the truck’s next load
Since late August, Previous Location could pick a load the truck had not started yet, usually its next load. Empty miles were then measured from where the truck was going instead of where it had been, and two loads could end up listing each other as their Previous Location. It happened most often when a driver left a pickup after the next load’s pickup window had opened.- A load that hasn’t started yet now counts as the previous trip only when it is scheduled to pick up before this one.
- A load that is already in transit counts only when it actually picked up before this one.
- This applies when a truck is assigned and when the driver checks in or out at the first pickup.

A carrier's truck, trailer, and driver now stay the carrier's, even when a number matches one of your own, and carrier trucks are labeled External.
Carrier equipment stays separate from your fleet
When a carrier signs your rate confirmation, or you enter a carrier’s equipment on their trip, the truck, trailer, and driver are now recorded as the carrier’s External equipment, even when a truck number, trailer number, or driver phone number matches one of your own. The trip stays assigned to the carrier you sent it to.Until now a matching number put your own truck, trailer, or driver on the carrier’s trip, so your truck picked up the carrier’s miles in the Detailed Financial Report. Carrier trucks now carry the same External label carrier trailers already had, on the trip details, the Dispatch Planner truck picker, and the Assignments page.Trips assigned before October 5, 2026 keep the equipment they were saved with. Trips assigned to your own carrier subsidiaries still use your fleet.Live for every company, with nothing to turn on.Learn more: Carrier equipment: external trucks, trailers, and driversPin your go-to reports, and find Manage and Create in the open
Carrier cost in reporting no longer counts fuel you deduct from the driver
Cost and margin in Custom Reports now count only what you pay the carrier. Fuel and tolls you recover from a driver through a deduction are no longer treated as carrier cost, so owner-operator loads that used to report a negative margin now show the margin you actually earned. Cost on a visualization and cost on the Loads & Trips grid now agree for the same load.Figures you saved before October 2 can differ from a fresh report on the same dates.
