Part of the Dispatch Planner column reference. The Distance To Current column shows how far each driver’s last reported location is from a place you choose, in miles. It appears only while you filter the Last Ping column by a place and a radius. Use it to sort drivers by how close they are right now to a pickup.

At a glance

How do I set the place it measures from?

  1. Open the filter on the Last Ping column.
  2. Search for an address or place and select it. The radius starts at 100 miles.
  3. To change the radius, pick 25, 50, 250, or 500 miles.
The table now shows only drivers whose last ping is inside that radius, and the Distance To Current column appears. To hide it again, click Reset in the Last Ping filter.

How is the distance worked out?

The distance is a straight line between the place you picked and the location in the driver’s Last Ping column, not driving miles. It is shown in miles with up to three decimal places. The last ping can come from the driver, their truck, or their trailer, whichever reported most recently. It can be old if those devices have stopped reporting. To learn which devices count, see the Last Ping column.

Why is the column blank?

The driver has no last ping. The planner cannot measure a distance without a reported location. The place-and-radius filter also leaves these drivers out, so you will rarely see a blank value.
