Part of the Dispatch Planner column reference. The Next planned in column shows the city and state where a driver’s next commitment begins after their free time. Use it to pick a trip that leaves the driver close to where they need to be next, for example near home before Hometime.

At a glance

Where does the location come from?

Next planned in is where the commitment that ends the driver’s free time begins:
  • If the next commitment is a trip, it is the trip’s first stop.
  • If the next commitment is a driver event, such as Hometime or Vacation, it is the event’s address.
The commitment is the same one shown in Next planned at and Next planned event, so the three columns always agree.

Why is the column blank?

The driver has nothing planned after their free time. If no trip or driver event follows Available at, there is no next commitment and the column shows a dash. The driver has no availability. When Available at shows a dash, so does Next planned in. That happens when the driver has no trips and no driver events on record, or belongs to an outside carrier. Filtering by place leaves out blank rows. A place-and-radius filter only matches drivers whose next commitment has a location on the map.
