Part of the Dispatch Planner column reference. The Driver Notes column shows the most recent note added to Driver 1’s profile. Use it to read the latest dispatcher note at a glance, or to add a new note without opening the driver.

At a glance

What happens when I type in the cell?

Typing in the cell adds a new note to Driver 1’s profile. It does not change or replace the note you were looking at, which stays in the driver’s note history.
  1. Double-click the cell. It opens with the latest note’s text.
  2. Change the text or type a new note.
  3. Press Enter or click another cell. Alvys saves your text as a new note and shows Note created.
If you leave the text unchanged, nothing is saved. If you clear the cell, Alvys shows Note can’t be cleared and keeps the existing note. If you do not have the “Edit Asset” permission, the note is not saved and Alvys shows Could not create note. The cell can keep showing your text until the table reloads, even though nothing was saved.

Where do I see all of a driver’s notes?

Click the notes icon in the Driver(s) cell, or select the row and open the Notes tab in the sidebar. The tab lists Driver 1’s notes, newest first. With the “Edit Asset” permission, you can also add notes with Add note, and edit or delete notes there.

Why does the cell show a note I did not expect?

The note belongs to Driver 1. For a two-driver team, the column and the Notes tab show Driver 1’s notes only. Notes on Driver 2’s profile do not appear. You edited an older note. The column shows the most recently added note. Editing an older note in the Notes tab does not move it to the cell. The filter only searches the latest note. Text in older notes does not match.
