Part of the Dispatch Planner column reference. The Truck Maintenance Status column shows the most pressing maintenance item on the driver’s truck, such as an open work order or a service that is overdue. Use it to avoid dispatching a truck that needs to go into the shop.

At a glance

What does each status mean?

The table shows the status names without spaces. The asset sidebar shows the same statuses as Awaiting Service and In Shop. The status describes the truck in the Truck ID column, which is the truck on the driver’s assignment preference.

Which status shows when a truck has several?

A truck can have several maintenance items at once. The column shows one of them, checked in this order:
  1. AwaitingService
  2. Overdue, only while its due date is in the past
  3. Upcoming, only while its due date is in the future
  4. InShop
  5. Completed
A truck with an open work order shows AwaitingService, even when it also has a work order in progress or a service that is overdue.

Where do the maintenance items come from?

Maintenance items come from the truck’s work orders and scheduled maintenance, such as repair orders and scheduled maintenance synced from the Fleetrock maintenance integration. When a work order is finished, it is removed from the truck, so it drops out of this column instead of showing Completed. A work order that covers a scheduled service also clears that service from the truck.

Why is the column blank, or showing a status I did not expect?

The truck has no maintenance items. If the truck has no open work orders and no scheduled service that qualifies, the cell is blank. The cell is also blank when the driver’s assignment preference has no truck. A scheduled service that has not come due does not show. Upcoming shows only for a service with a due date in the future. Scheduled maintenance from Fleetrock that has not come due yet carries no due date, so it does not appear here. Once Fleetrock reports the service as due, it shows as Overdue. The filter matches the status shown. Filtering by Overdue finds trucks whose column shows Overdue. A truck with an overdue service and an open work order shows AwaitingService, so it does not match. Sorting is alphabetical. Sorting orders the status names alphabetically, not by urgency. Drivers with no maintenance status sort last.
