Part of the Dispatch Planner column reference. The Destination Date & Time column shows when each trip is scheduled at the stop where it ends, in that stop’s local time, for example 9/06 @ 07:00 EST. Use it to see when a driver will finish the trip and be ready for the next one.

At a glance

Which time does the column show?

The column shows one time for the trip’s last stop, which on most trips is the last delivery. The time depends on the stop’s schedule type:
  1. If the stop is APPT (Appointment), the column shows the appointment date and time.
  2. If the stop is FCFS (First Come First Serve), the column shows the End Window time, when the window closes. If the window has no end time, it shows the Begin Window time.
  3. If the stop has no date for its schedule type, the column shows a dash.
The date shows the month and day only, with a 24-hour time. To see both ends of an FCFS window with the year, add the Delivery Window Begin (FCFS) and Delivery Window End (FCFS) columns. See Stop dates and times for how schedule types are set.

Which time zone is the time in?

The time is the local time at the stop, followed by the abbreviation of the stop’s time zone. A delivery in Atlanta reads in Eastern time wherever you are. This is different from the Created and Dispatched Date columns, which show your own local time. The abbreviation names the time zone and stays the same all year. An Atlanta delivery in July reads EST, not EDT, but the time shown is still the clock time at the stop.

How do sorting and filtering handle time zones?

Sorting follows the real moment, not the clock in the cell. A 9:00 delivery in New York sorts ahead of a 9:00 delivery in Dallas, because 9:00 in New York happens an hour earlier. Date filters use the date in the cell. The filter compares the stop’s local date as shown in the column, not the date in your own time zone. Trips with no date go last. They sort to the bottom whether you sort earliest or latest first, and they never match a date filter.
