Part of the Dispatch Planner column reference. The Trailer column shows the number of the trailer assigned to each trip. Use it to check whose equipment is under a load, or to find a trailer’s trips by typing its number.

At a glance

What does the column show?

The cell shows the trailer number. A trip with no trailer assigned shows a dash. A trailer that is not in your fleet is marked Ext. When a trip carries a carrier’s trailer rather than one of your own, a blue Ext badge appears after the number. Hover over the badge to see Trailer is not in your fleet. Your own trailers show the number with no badge. If the External marking is not turned on for your account, the cell shows only the number. To learn how an external trailer is recorded on a trip, see How to add a trailer.

How do sorting and filtering work?

Filtering matches part of the trailer number. Type in the Trailer ID box. The table keeps trips whose trailer number contains what you typed, in upper or lower case. Trailer numbers sort as text. Numbers are compared character by character, so trailer 1000 comes before trailer 200. Trips with no trailer always sort to the end.
