Part of the Dispatch Planner column reference. The Fleet column shows the fleet set on the trip’s load. Use it to see which fleet a load is booked to, and to change that fleet without opening the load.

At a glance

What does the column show?

The cell shows the name of the fleet on the trip’s load. A load with no fleet shows a dash. This is the load’s own fleet. It is separate from the Truck Fleet, Driver Fleet, and Trailer Fleet columns, which show the fleets of the assets assigned to the trip. A load’s fleet can be set by hand or applied automatically. See How to set up auto-assign fleets to loads.

How do I change the fleet from the grid?

  1. Click the Fleet cell on the trip.
  2. Pick a fleet from the list. You can type to search it.
  3. Press Enter or click away. The message Fleet updated confirms the change.
Fleet is a load-level value. Setting it on one trip applies it to every trip on that load, and all of that load’s rows update together. If the change cannot be saved, the message Could not update fleet appears and the cells go back to the previous fleet.

Why can’t I do what I expected?

You cannot clear the fleet from the grid. The list only offers fleets, not an empty option. To remove a load’s fleet, use the full trip edit screen. The filter has no option for loads without a fleet. The list only offers your fleets, so you cannot filter for trips with a blank Fleet cell.
