Part of the Dispatch Planner column reference. The Tracking Status column shows the latest status of the trip’s tracking request, such as Tracking Now or Denied By Driver, as a colored badge. Use it to spot the trips whose tracking needs attention without opening each one.

At a glance

What does each badge color mean?

Tracking requests sent through a tracking integration, such as MacroPoint or Trucker Tools, report their progress as a status. Alvys recognizes more than 160 of them, and each one falls into one of four colors. A trip with no tracking request shows a dash.

How do I find trips with a particular status?

Type part of the status into the filter box. The filter matches the text you see in the cell, and case does not matter, so typing “expired” keeps every trip whose status contains that word, such as Expired Without Location and Expired Without Installation. Sorting puts the statuses in alphabetical order by the text in the cell. Trips with no tracking request stay at the bottom whichever way you sort.

Why does a trip show a status I did not expect?

The status is the latest one reported. The column shows only the most recent status on the trip’s tracking request, not the earlier ones. A status shown in gray can be one Alvys does not recognize. If a trip carries a status Alvys has no description for, the cell shows the status text as it was received, in a gray badge.
