Part of the Dispatch Planner column reference. The Destination Market column shows the DAT market where each trip delivers, such as Atlanta or Chicago. DAT markets are freight areas centered on a metro area or freight hub. Use the column to see which markets your trucks will end up in and to plan the next load from there.

At a glance

How is the market assigned?

The planner works out the market from the map coordinates of the trip’s last delivery:
  1. If the delivery sits inside a DAT market, the column shows that market.
  2. If the delivery sits inside two overlapping markets, the column lists both in alphabetical order, separated by a semicolon.
  3. If the delivery sits outside every market, the column shows the nearest market, as long as one is close enough, within about 500 miles.
The column reads the last delivery, not the last stop. On a trip that ends with a waypoint, Destination Location shows the waypoint while Destination Market shows the market of the last delivery.

How do I filter by market?

Type text to match any part of the market name, such as Atlanta. Typing also finds trips that list two markets. Pick from the list to match trips whose market is exactly one you picked. A trip that lists two markets does not match a single market picked from the list, so type the name instead.

Why is the column blank?

The trip has no delivery stop. With no delivery there is no location to place in a market. The last delivery has no map coordinates. See Understanding address input to set coordinates on a stop. The last delivery is far from every DAT market. A delivery more than about 500 miles from the nearest market gets no market.
