Part of the Dispatch Planner column reference. The Required Temperature column shows the temperature the trip’s freight must be kept at, in degrees Fahrenheit. Use it with the Actual Temperature column to check reefer loads at a glance.

At a glance

How is the temperature shown?

The filter compares the low temperature of the range, or the only temperature when there is one. A trip that has only a high temperature does not match a number you enter.

Why does a temperature-controlled trip show a dash?

The trip has no temperature record yet. The column shows the required temperature only once Alvys has a record for the trip from one of these sources:
  • The trailer assigned to the trip has reported its location or temperature through a connected tracking device.
  • Someone logged a check call on the trip that includes a set point and a temperature.
Until then the cell shows a dash, even when the trip has a required temperature. This is common on Open trips that do not have a trailer yet. Check the load itself to see the required temperature. Filtering still finds these trips. The filter uses the trip’s required temperature whether or not the cell shows it, so a trip can match your filter and still show a dash. No required temperature is set. Trips that are not temperature-controlled show a dash.
