Part of the Dispatch Planner column reference. The Load Weight column shows the total weight of each trip’s load, in the unit it was recorded in, for example 42,000 lbs or 19,000 kg. Use it to plan around heavy freight from the grid instead of opening each trip.

At a glance

Where does the weight come from?

The weight belongs to the load, so every trip on the same load shows the same weight. It is either the total weight entered for the load, or the sum of the commodity weights on the load’s pickup stops. The cell keeps the unit the weight was recorded in, such as lbs, kg, or tons.

Why do sorting and filtering use pounds?

Loads can be recorded in different units, so sorting and filtering convert every weight to pounds first. That keeps the order right when one load is in kilograms and another in tons. The filter box is labeled Weight in lbs for that reason. Enter pounds there, whatever unit the cell shows. A load showing 25 tons is 50,000 pounds, so it matches a filter of more than 40,000.

Why does a load show a dash?

No weight is recorded. If no commodity on the load carries a weight, the load’s weight is recorded as zero, and the column shows a dash rather than 0 lbs. A dash is not zero for sorting and filtering. Loads with a dash are left out when you filter by a number, and they stay at the bottom whichever way you sort.
